131 companies, mapped across the technology ladder. Compiled from public sources, verified one at a time. The network connecting them is the point.
See the indexSingularity Network gathers the organizations working on the technologies that converge into a singularity, and maps them by rung: artificial intelligence, biotechnology, nanotechnology, decentralised systems, life extension, brain-computer interfaces, space, and the rest of the ladder.
The index is editorial. Every entry is compiled from public information and verified against the company's own site. Being listed is not a claim of membership, endorsement or partnership, and any company may ask to be corrected or removed.
Across the whole index, the largest asks are customers, capital, partners and talent. Those are also the four things almost nobody on the list can supply to anyone else. Everything the membership is rich in, expertise and hardware and open work, is what nobody is asking for.
| What companies need | Demand | Need it | Supply it | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customers | 101 | 0 | gap | |
| Capital | 83 | 1 | gap | |
| Partners | 81 | 0 | SN | |
| Talent | 57 | 0 | gap | |
| Compute | 20 | 14 | partial | |
| Data | 16 | 26 | satisfiable | |
| Regulatory | 5 | 0 | gap |
4 of 7 categories cannot be satisfied from inside the index. That is the reason the network exists. It does not need to be built. It needs to be sourced. SN marks the category the network itself supplies.
Bring capability: hardware, models, open work, compute, data. This is the tier the index maps.
Bring judgement and regulated services: legal, tax, privacy.
Bring hands on work that no member has staff for.
The network routes between the three. A company with a legal need and no budget goes to a professional. A company with a technical need and no staff gets capacity.
Corrections to the index are welcome and acted on quickly.
